Micromotive produces and adapts a wide range of equipment to suit a huge variety of applications. Here are some examples of what we can do to improve your business:

We have recently converted some cranes from cab to cab/radio. The photograph shows the interface panel fitted within the electrical switchgear room on the crane.

We are also currently fitting remote control systems to furnaces, controlling multiple functions - doors, rotation and hoists - from one controller.

Radio remote control system for shunting locomotives. Some of these systems are in use in a Corus plant. Conforming to the latest standards using dual processors in both the hand held transmitter and the loco mounted receiver.

Special requirements

:: Designing and fitting a system for Corus where up to six operators are required to operate four rail mounted vehicles, up to a maximum of all four vehicles under remote control simultaneously, one operator per vehicle. Auto selection of the vehicle to be controlled, arbitration for requests for control and a feedback system to the operators were also required. Since commissioning various system upgrades have been incorporated.

:: Designing and fitting a radio monitoring system onto machines where power to six individual parts are inaccessible by wire. Battery powered outstations fitted with transceivers are polled continuously by a fixed base station to report machine status and to provide alarm messages in the event of a machine malfunction.

:: Designing and fitting a system for controlling water pumps in quarries, to ensure water lagoons maintain a capacity for working whilst optimising the use of electrical power.

:: Modifying standard product to operate scrap-baling machines from a forklift truck.

:: Modifying standard product to operate conveyors from forklift trucks.

:: Designing and fitting a system for controlling water pumps in quarries, to ensure water lagoons maintain a capacity for working whilst optimising the use of electrical power. Modifying standard product to operate scrap-baling machines or conveyors from a forklift truck.

Joystick and Push Button systems for cranes and other equipment for which remote control is required. All our own products, when used for machinery control incorporate intrinsically safe circuits for maximum integrity and security.

Other radio applications

Providing a radio telemetry system to transmit the status of conveyors on dockside loaders, to avoid expensive festoon systems.

Warning systems from conventionally controlled cranes to provide alarm indication to pedestrians in areas out of sight of the crane driver.

OTHER AREAS OF APPLICATION

a) BUILDING YARDS: cranes, truck mixers, crane trucks, lifting and transportation systems;

b) INDUSTRIAL LIFTING SYSTEMS: bridge cranes, lifting platforms, winches, lifting and handling systems in general, in metallurgical, mechanical, chemical and various processing industries;

c) MATERIALS HANDLING IN OPEN ENVIRONMENTS: transportation systems in shipyards, airports, railway yards and quarries, wood transportation etc.

d) Hazardous area remote control of machinery;

e) Platforms and baskets for civil and industrial maintenance;

f) Machine tools, pumps, drainage machines etc.

All this and much more!

The possibilities are endless. We have the solution to so many industrial situations. Take a look around the website for more information about what we can do, and in much more detail.

Whatever your needs......if you think that remote control can play a part, give us a call and have a chat about it.
